Bernard Hours is an independent member of Verlinvest Board and an operational advisor for several of its portfolio investments.
From 2008 to 2014, Bernard was Co-Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of the Board of Danone (a 22 Bn € turnover- and 100,000 employee-company) with full line responsibility of the 4 business units: dairy, baby food, water and medical nutrition, as well as Research & Development.
Since 2009, Bernard Hours is also a Member of the Board of Essilor International, the world leader for corrective lenses.
Bernard Hours is President of Andros Spain (the French leading fruit company) and also investor in different new food companies.
Bernard is a HEC graduate (Paris) and speaks English, German, Spanish and Russian.
