Katy Sexton

I joined Verlinvest at the start of 2022 from global advisory firm Milltown Partners, where I spent almost seven years working with fast-growth digital companies on tackling their strategic communications challenges. In 2019, I caught the entrepreneurial bug and spent a year living in San Francisco setting up and building the company’s US business, experiencing the ups and downs of scaling a vision, a team, a culture, and everything in between.

During that time I developed a specialism in working with investors on both sides of the Atlantic – across sectors (from deeptech to consumer) and stages (from venture, to growth capital and late-stage funding) – as well as their myriad portfolio companies. These twin passions for the startup ecosystem and the ever-growing number of investors backing them drew me to Verlinvest, where I now head up our global marketing and communications function.

I am a born and bred Londoner and worked in fashion for a number of years before entering the corporate world. I hold a First Class BA degree in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds.
